Can I pay the terminal demurrage through TOPS (Terminal Operating Service)?
Some shiplines allow their customers to pay the demurrage owed on a container through TOPS for import containers at APMT, however you will need to contact the shipline to determine if this applicable to you.
Who do I need to dispute demurrage charges with?
All disputes in regards to the last free day and the amount of demurrage owed should be addressed with the shipline and not the terminal.

What is the ACH/Wire Transfer Steps for the APM Terminal-Virginia?
Steps for Sending APM a Wire/ACH Payment:
- 1. Wire payment is submitted by customer
- 2. Once the wire payment has been sent and received by APM Terminals bank, customer must send email to AMRDemurrage@apmterminals.com (please do not send until wire has been received)
- 3. Customer should include all pertinent information in email:
Container number, terminal, what you are paying for (Exam/Demurrage - if Demurrage date you are paying through)
** IF no email is sent to AMRDemurrage@apmterminals.com after receipt of wire, we will not be able to update your cargo with a release**
