NEWS ALERT 5/13/2008: Gate Hours Update
Please be advised that effective May 19th, 2008 the hours of operations for the Interchange Facilities at NIT and PMT will be from 6 AM to 5 PM. Dispatches will cease at 4:15 PM.
VIT will keep NIT and PMT open from 5-6 PM on Fridays with dispatches ceasing at 5:15 PM. The hours of operations for the Empty Depots will remain the same.  Those hours are 6 AM to 6 PM. If you have any questions contact Gate Services Manager, Mark D. Wilder at 440-7031. Gate hours are reviewed regularly and are subject to change based on container throughput volumes.  VIT will closely monitor gate operations to ensure optimum service with the new gate schedule.
NEWS ALERT 5/1/2008: Main Gate Closing to POV Traffic
Effective Monday 5/12/08 All POV traffic must enter and exit NIT using the North Gate.

Environmental Policy

The Company is committed to conducting operations and managing resources in an environmentally sensitive and sound manner.  It is the intent of the Company to:

1.  Meet or exceed all applicable Federal, State, and Local environmental laws and regulations, and other requirements subscribed to by the organization.

2.  Employ management systems and procedures specifically designed to prevent activities and conditions that pose a threat to human health, safety, and the environment through proactive environmental leadership and compliance.

3.  Adhere to an established framework for setting objectives that demonstrate a commitment to continual improvement.

4.  Integrate environmental costs, risks, and impacts into port project development and facility improvements and to continually evaluate and improve operational efficiencies and practices to achieve our established environmental and business objectives.

5.  Promote pollution prevention, response and recovery, and environmental awareness through communication with employees, customers, tenants, suppliers, contractors, other terminal users, regulatory agencies, neighboring communities and environmental organizations.

All employees are encouraged to monitor environmental conditions and report any concerns to their supervisors.
