President’s Day Holiday Notice - On Monday, February 20, 2012, in observance of President’s Day, all VIT facilities will be closed for Container, CFS, or Breakbulk pickups and deliveries. (APMT, NIT, PMT, NNMT & VIP). The NCY and PPCY will also be closed for empty container pickups and deliveries.
Container Yard, Breakbulk and Container Freight Station work will be performed on overtime rates with prior arrangements only. VIT Administrative offices will be closed.

Regular Gate Hours
NIT
Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
NIT Service Cuttoffs for Containers:
Pickups: 5 p.m. - Reefer pickups: 4:30 p.m. - Reefer delivery 5 p.m.
All truckers must be checked in at transfer zone by 5:30 p.m. to ensure service
Containers will be received until 5:50 p.m. and left on chassis if necessary.
LTL: Must register by 3:00 p.m.
On all non-restricted holidays (overtime days), VIT management will review to determine if LTL will be operational on these holidays.

NNMT
Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. - 12 noon, 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. - Dispatches Stop at 4:30 p.m.
LTL: 7:00 AM - 5:00 p.m. (must register by 3:00 p.m.)
On all non-restricted holidays (overtime days), VIT management will review to determine if LTL will be operational on these holidays. 		APMT
6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Inbound portal will close at 5 p.m. Dual transactions stop at 4:30 p.m. Drivers must be processed at the ingate before 4:30 p.m. for a dual transaction.
LTL: Appointments are required for the following: Break bulk, over high open tops or flat racks which need to be lifted from a trucker/shipper owned chassis, flatbed or low boy. Please call 757-686-6123 to schedule appointment.

PPCY & NCY
6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

VIP
Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
LTL: 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Details For Each Holiday

Christmas Eve, Christmas Day
Friday, December 23rd - All terminal gates at NIT, APMT, NCY, PPCY, and VIP will be open for container pick-ups and delivery,
vessel activity, and intermodal work during normal operating hours.

Container Yard, Breakbulk and Container Freight Station work will be performed on overtime rates with prior arrangements only.

VIT Administrative offices will be closed.

All operations stop at 12:00 midnight.

Monday, December 26th - All terminal gates at NIT, APMT, NCY, PPCY, and VIP will be closed for container pick-ups and delivery.

Vessel activity starts at 0600.

Container Yard, Breakbulk, and Container Freight Station work will be performed on overtime rates with prior arrangements only.

VIT Administrative offices will be closed.

New Year’s Day
Monday, January 2nd - All terminal gates at NIT, APMT, NCY, PPCY, and VIP will be closed for container pick-ups and delivery.

Vessel activity starts at 0600.

Container Yard, Breakbulk, and Container Freight Station work will be performed on overtime rates with prior arrangements only.

VIT Administrative offices will be closed.

Martin Luther King's Birthday
On Monday, January 16th - All VIT facilities (APMT,NIT,PMT,NNMT & VIP) will be closed for container, CFS, and Breakbulk pickups and deliveries.

The NCY and PPCY will also be closed for empty pickups and deliveries in observance of Martin Luther King's Birthday.

Container Yard, Breakbulk and Container Freight Station work will be performed on overtime rates with prior arrangements only.

VIT Administrative offices will be closed.

Vessels normal operation.

All other operations stop at midnight the day prior to Memorial Day and resume at 0600 the day following Memorial Day.

Independence Day
All operations will stop at midnight on July 3rd and resume at 0600 on July 5th.

Labor Day
All operations will stop at midnight the day prior to Labor Day and resume at 0600 the day following Labor Day.

Thanksgiving Day
All operations will stop at midnight the day prior to Thanksgiving Day and resume at 0600 the day following Thanksgiving Day.

Overtime Day Policy
Thomas W. Gleason’s Birthday, Good Friday, Jefferson Davis’ Birthday, Columbus Day, Election Day, Veterans Day.

Vessel, container gate, transfer zone, and container rail are normal operation.

Container yard, breakbulk, and container freight station are overtime rates with prior arrangements.

Any changes to the operating schedule will be posted as an "Upcoming Holiday Notice" alert on our website.
