Email Tracking - tracking@vit.org

You can now receive basic container tracking information directly in your email inbox without visiting the www.vit.org website.

Here's How It Works : Simply send an email to tracking@vit.org, with any number of container numbers in the body of the message. We'll look up the containers for you and reply with the status of the containers!  Here's an example of the email you will receive:

Container Watch by Email - watchlist@vit.org

If you have a registered website account with us, we will notify you about container events.

Here's How It Works : Simply send an email to watchlist@vit.org, with any number of container numbers in the body of the message. We'll find your account and create a new "ContainerWatch" list for you, with the containers you supplied. We'll notify you by email when these containers

  • Arrive
  • Depart
  • Are Ready
  • Complete Fumigation
  • Move Terminals

If you don't have an account, register for free on the registration page.

Dwell Report By Email - dwell@vit.org

We will email your dwell times for any container numbers you include in an email to dwell@vit.org

Here's how it works for everyone: Simply send an email to dwell@vit.org, with any number of container numbers in the body of the message. We'll look up the dwell times for those containers, and reply by email with that information.

Here's how it works for brokers: If you have a broker account with us, we will find your account and send you a list of dwell times for containers matching your broker code, you don't even need to include any container numbers in your email.  If you wish to receive this list as an attached Excel spreadsheet, simply type the word "EXCEL" in the subject of your message.

Look for this functionality coming soon for Shiplines and Truckers.

If you are a broker registered and we don't know your broker code, email extranetaccountadmin@vit.org .   If you don't have an account, register for free on the registration page.
